Abstract
The article provides information on topical problems of soils in the Zaravshan Valley and their solutions. Depending on the soil-climatic conditions and the topography of the valley, such processes as erosion, salinization, and dehumification can occur in soils. Problems in automorphic (serozem) and hydromorphic (meadow) soils are of a different nature. So, in serozem soils, erosion processes are more strongly developed, and in meadow soils, the processes of salinization and alkalinization. However, dehumification processes are observed in all types and subtypes of soils in the Zeravshan valley.
