Abstrak
Residues of pesticides can accumulate in the soils of conventional arable farms. In 2000, conventional cultivation was partly replaced by organic cultivation on two sections of a trial farm, without further use of pesticides. After 19 years, soil samples from conventional and from the two organic sections were analyzed for 664 pesticides. Of an adjacent nature reserve a soil sample was taken as comparison without any agricultural use.
