Abstract
The article presents scientific data on ensuring the precise regulation of the amount of water and nutrients according to the physiological stages of tomato development based on drip irrigation and fertigation technologies. During the experiment, the amount of water and mineral fertilizers was developed on the basis of the development of the tomato root system and the physical and agrochemical properties of the soil. A decrease in water consumption by 20–40% and an increase in the utilization coefficient of mineral fertilizers by 20–30% were determined when applying the optimal ratio and concentration of NPK elements corresponding to the vegetation stages, as well as the irrigation system. This ensured the continuity of moisture and nutrient supply to the tomato root zone and significantly increased yield and resource saving. At the same time, the application of micronutrient fertilizers contributed to increasing the stress resistance of tomato and activating the process ofphotosynthesis.
