Abstract
The article highlights the distribution areas and some properties of licorice (licorice) - as a perennial plant belonging to the legume family. the role and importance of licorice in the field of medicine and pharmacology, the food industry and in various fields of agriculture are considered, it is indicated that phytomelioration work using licorice is an effective way (method) of combating land salinization.
