Abstract
This article addresses the issues of land degradation in the Aral Sea region. Particular attention is paid to the agrochemical properties of soils distributed throughout the region, as well as to the scientific foundations for improving their ecological and ameliorative conditions. It is noted that the processes of dust deposition, salinization, soil erosion, and land degradation have a negative impact on agriculture and contribute to a decline in food security. Current priorities include combating land degradation and mitigating its adverse effects, preventing desertification, soil salinization, erosion, and drought, conserving biodiversity, maintaining and enhancing soil fertility, and restoring degraded and exhausted lands. Special EKOLOGIYA VA ATROF MUHITNI MUHOFAZA QILISH emphasis is placed on improving the efficiency of land resource use in irrigated agricultural areas through the widespread implementation of modern scientific achievements, innovative technologies, and advanced land management practices.
