Abstract
The article presents the morphological characteristics and some chemical properties of the soil and subsoil of the dried-up bottom of the Aral Sea. Soil samples for the study were taken from areas with different relief and landscape at a distance of 20 km from the "Ship Graveyard" of the Moynaq district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan to the Nolovoy point. According to the results of the analysis, these soil and subsoils are very poorly supplied with humus. The pH of the samples was determined to be weakly acidic, neutral, weakly alkaline, and the salinity level, depending on the EC content, was weakly, moderately, strongly, and brackish.
